Part 1

Kafka: Yes, Leader-chan. Please have some tea.
MC: Thank you for the tea! MC: Hmm… how long has it been since you’ve been able to have a leisurely day like this?
Kafka: I don’t remember. Although, I do allocate time for breaks.
Kafka: The hard work I’ve been doing recently has settled down, so I’d like to take a breather. I’m thinking of going to my usual fishing spot.
MC :That sounds nice, it’s been a while. Let’s go!
Shumai: (strange barking noises)
Kafka: I know, Shumai can come too.
Kafka: …Oh right. Before we go to the pier, is it alright if we stop by the hospital to check out how things are going?
MC: Of course! We can also go see everyone.

Hospital Girl A: Ah– it’s big brother Kafka!
Hospital Boy A: Hey–Hey– look at this, big brother! This is a Minatomirai1 robot I made from blocks that our teacher brought! Isn’t it cool!
Hospital Girl B: I got to eat a chestnut castella cake for the first time in a year! It was really tasty!
Hospital Boy B: I’ve been practicing so please listen! I’m so happy I got to play the piano at Sunday’s concert…!
Kafka: Calm down a little. Don’t all talk at the same time. And if you yank me left and right like that any further I’m going to be pulled apart.
MC: Ahaha, still as popular as ever, Big Bro Kafka.
MC: ….Obviously work is super busy, and you come here to visit too. Kafka, you really work hard!
Kafka: It’s not a big deal.
Kafka: The kids that live here all have been inpatients for a long time so I want to create things for them to look forward to.
MC: You’re a really kind person, Kafka.
Kafka: I’m just doing what I can.
Kafka: I just want to give back to the kids what you gave to me.
Kafka: Also—
Kafka: I promised the kids that after they get out of the hospital, they can all go on the Hama Tours together with their families. That way, they can do their best to get better sooner.
MC: You don’t miss a thing…
MC: (…Although Kafka is poking a bit of fun at the kids.)
Hospital Boy C: Big brother…
Kafka: Are you alright? You had an operation recently, right?
Hospital Boy C: Yeah. I was able to do my best because Big Brother was cheering for me!
Hospital Boy C: Sometimes, my chest still hurts a bit…..but I can breathe a lot better now than before. And today I can play with everyone!
Kafka: I see, isn’t that great?
Kafka: Although, someday there may be things that others can do that you can’t, and this may be frustrating but it’s OK. You’ll definitely get better.
Hospital Boy C: Yeah!
MC: (Kafka is always watching over these kids. He’s always offering support so that they can smile.)
MC: (As the president of Hama Tour’s he’s doing really amazing—)
MC: (But Kafka has grown more mature than I imagined.)
Kafka: Anyway, has there been anything bothering you all recently? Or anything weird going on?
Hospital Girl A: There hasn’t been anything bothering me recently, but there has been some weird stuff!
Hospital Boy B: Yeah, in the garden! A [Massive Mythical Monster] has appeared in the ocean!
Kafka: A Massive Mythical Monster?
Hospital Girl B: Yeah! Yeah! But no one has caught it yet. It escaped everyone who tried to catch it.
Hospital Girl B: Its shadow is much bigger than the other fish so everyone is calling it a monster.
Hospital Girl C: Just once, I want to see what it looks like!
Kafka: Monster, huh? Leader-chan.
MC: I already know what you’re thinking.
Kafka: Let’s go catch that monster!
Part 2

Kafka:… It’s not biting.
MC: Yeah….
MC: (Although, he was so enthusiastic when he said [Let’s go catch that monster!…)
MC: (But it’s been about an hour, and we haven’t caught a single fish.)
Shumai: (strange sleepy dog noises)
MC: (Shumai has gotten bored too and is in full nap mode…)
MC: Time is passing so slowly…
Kafka: Mmm, having a day like this on occasion is nice, right?
Kafka: Getting to come here for the first time in a while, savoring the salty air, and letting the tension out of your shoulders.
Kafka: Even sitting here and spacing out, if it’s the two of us, it’ll be a good memory.
MC:: Yeah, that’s right!
MC: (I’m glad I could get Kafka to relax. Tomorrow, I also have to work har–)
Kafka: Ahh, something’s pulling…! It seems like it’s a big one, Leader-chan!
MC: Isn’t this the monster!? The shadow is huge!
Kafka: I think it is. It’s rare to see this kind of strength—
Kafka: Woah!
MC: Kafka?!
Kafka: I’m fine, I’m fine. I just lost my balance is all…
Kafka: Leave this to me. Just cheer for me.
OPTIONS
- 1. Watch over Kafka
- 2. Help out Kafka
OPTION 1:
MC: Understood.
Kafka: If I catch the monster, let’s go show everyone.
MC: (If Kafka is really that determined, I’m happy to just watch and cheer for him, but..)
Kafka: Ugh, this guy!
Kafka: Is he testing me? If that’s what he’s trying to do then….I’m going to keep pushing!
MC: …Sorry, I really can’t just stand here and watch!
Kafka: Oh….
OPTION 2:
MC: No, I’ll help too!
Kafka: Leader-Chan!?
MC: I’ll support your back so it’s OK to lean your weight on me.
OPTION MERGE
MC: Don’t try to take on everything alone! Let’s do our best, together!
Kafka: Yeah.
Kafka: Grab onto me tight. Let’s match our breaths and pull the rod together.
Kafka: Alright…get ready!
MC: No way, it’s not moving at all…? Is it still….ahh?!
MC: If…if we keep going, it’s going to pull us overboard..!
Kafka: One more time! Lower your body, and your center of gravity….!
Kafka: Alright, get ready… Woah!
Kafka: Ugh… It’s coming this way! It’s a little closer!
Kafka: There’s just a little more to go! Here, hold on…!
MC: Got it! OK!….Ah! mmm—
Kafka and MC: WOAH!
MC: Ah–…it swam off…
Kafka: Are you OK?! You fell backwards hard, did you hit your head?
MC: I’m fine. I’m not hurt.
MC: I’m worried about you, Kafka. You’re completely soaked.
MC: OK, we need to get you dried off so you don’t catch a cold.
Kafka : I… I can dry myself off! Besides, we’re both clearly drenched…….
Kafka: For goodness sakes… You’re always worrying about others over yourself.
Kafka: But… that kindness… is what makes you you.
Kafka: ….Thank you.

MC: Welp, in the end we didn’t catch the monster.
Kafka: So disappointing…Originally, I wanted to show you my cool side, but in the end I was super lame.
MC: What are you saying, Kafka, you’re always cool.
Kafka: … That’s really unfair. To say things like that with a straight face.
Kafka: Anyway, next time will be different.
MC: Yeah, next time we’ll get our revenge. We’ll definitely catch the monster!
Kafka: That’s a little bit different from what I was trying to say. But, it’s whatever.
Kafka: Hey, we still have some time.
MC: Yeah, I did tell Yuki-nii I would come home late tonight. Is there somewhere you wanted to go?
Kafka: I was thinking I want to take my time and take the long way home.
Kafka: Shumai also feels that he hasn’t walked enough yet.
Shumai: Wa-hu-hu! (Strange barking)
Kafka: Good boy! Who’s a good boy!
Kafka: Today has been extremely fun so I don’t want it to end just yet.
Kafka: So, stay with me a bit longer. I want to spend a bit more time with you before the sun sets.
Kafka: Will you let me have you all to myself, MC-chan2?
