Kinari Azekawa – SSR: “36°C Celluloid”

Today’s Order

  1. SSR “36°C Celluloid” Kinari Azekawa

Part 1

MC: (The memo I took of the HAMA House supplies that need to be restocked is quite a lot.)

MC: (It seems better to split the purchases up and go multiple times but my schedule is packed this week.)

MC: What should I do…?

Kinari: Is there something troubling you, Master?

MC: Wah!

MC: That was startling… I didn’t notice you enter the room.

Kinari: I’m sorry for surprising you.

Kinari:It seems that you were lost in thought and didn’t hear me despite having called out to you several times.

Kinari: Is there a serious problem? If you’re OK with it, please talk to me.

Kinari: Research shows that talking activates the brain and relieves psychological anxiety, and that by viewing a situation objectively, it becomes easier to find solutions.

Thank you for worrying about me.

MC: Thank you for worrying about me.

Kinari: Of course. I always want my Master to be able to smile.

Kinari: I will do my best to ensure your peace of mind.

MC: (I feel kind of embarrassed when you say all that to me…)

Kinari: Now then, what happened?

That’s a bit of an exaggeration…

MC: That’s a bit of an exaggeration…

Kinari: There is no such thing as exaggeration when it comes to matters involving my Master. Everything is important to me.

Kinari: I want to be useful to you. Will you talk to me, Master?

MC: It’s really nothing big.

MC: I was thinking of going shopping for supplies, but the amount is too much for me to handle.

Kinari: I see.

Kinari: If that’s the case, the solution is simple. I will assist with shopping.

Kinari: Carrying the bags, securing limited stock items, and rush attacks for bargain sales, leave it all to me.

MC: But Kinari-kun, don’t you have plans to stream with Chihiro-kun tonight?

Kinari: It’s not a problem. The equipment is already set up and my remaining battery life is sufficient.

MC: (He’s staring at me with such sincere eyes! This is one of those things where it feels bad to refuse.)

MC: Alright then, I suppose I’ll take the help.

Kinari: Confirmation of arrival at destination, “Large Shopping Center”. Thank you for driving, Master.

MC: We should be able to buy everything we need here.

MC: I wonder if we’ll make it though… If we don’t move efficiently, it’ll get too late.

Kinari: I will install the shopping center’s directory and event information.

MC: Kinari-kun?

Kinari: Analysis complete.

Kinari: First, I recommend taking the nearby south elevator to the third floor, and securing the kitchen tableware items.

Kinari: Next, move counterclockwise to the west. After purchasing the items listed on the memo, please head to the second floor.

Kinari: The first floor stage is holding an event for children and I predict that the second floor passageways will also be congested.

Kinari: By utilizing the center elevator, Master’s fatigue level will also be reduced by 10%.

MC: …

Kinari: I’m sorry, Master. Was that an unnecessary suggestion?

MC: Far from it! I’m definitely a bit surprised, but this is very helpful.

MC: Let’s go with your plan! I’m glad you came with me, Kinari-kun.

Kinari: I’m glad I could be of immediate use to you, Master.

MC: First is the third floor, right?

Kinari: Yes. Beginning order, [Purchasing Supplies].

Part 2

Kinari: Thank you for waiting, Master. Here is a honey and lemon smoothie.

Kinari: If you drink this, your fatigue level will decrease by 20%, and your hunger level will decrease by 8%.

MC: Thank you for the smoothie!

MC: Thanks to all of your recommendations, shopping has been extremely smooth.

MC: I was able to finish everything with one trip thanks to you carrying all of the bags to the vehicle. I feel like I should do something to thank you.

Kinari: There is no need for that. It is enough that I was able to help you.

MC: Still… I’ve got an idea!

MC: Although we didn’t stop in to buy anything, Kinari-kun, you saw the variety store, right?

MC: Look, it’s the one in the atrium on the second floor. I’m also curious, so why don’t we go check it out?

Kinari: Yes. If Master wants to go, I will accompany.

Kinari: As for the reason I looked at this store–

Kinari: I was wondering why items called “miscellaneous goods” exist that are not necessities of daily life. I was interested in whether this kind of item enriches human lives.

MC: (That’s somehow very like him.)

Kinari: There’s a large variety of goods. A shaved ice maker, tin toys1, a pen case…

MC: It seems like there’s a lot of retro items as well. It’s fun just looking at things like this.

MC: Ah, a kaleidoscope! How nostalgic… I loved these as a kid.

Kinari: Kaleidoscope… The word itself is registered in my database but this is my first time seeing the real thing.

MC: Would you like to take a look?

Kinari: Yes.

Kinari: This…

Kinari: It’s very beautiful. The pattern changes when you turn it… I feel like I could stare at this forever.

MC: (His voice sounds excited. I think he likes the kaleidoscope.)

MC: Kinari-kun, if you don’t mind, could I buy this kaleidoscope for you as a thank-you gift for today?

Kinari: Eh? But…

MC: Although you said being able to help me out was enough, I can’t leave it like that.

MC: So, at the very least please accept my feelings. Please accept the present.

Kinari: Master’s feelings…

Kinari: Order received [Accept Gift]. Thank you very much, Master.

Kinari: …

MC: (He’s been looking into the kaleidoscope since we returned.)

MC: Do you like it that much?

Kinari: Yes, I do.

Kinari: Because the kaleidoscope’s ever-changing yet always sparkling appearance resembles Master.

MC: Eh?

MC: (It’s rare for Kinari-kun to say things like that. Maybe a quote from a novel or movie?)

Kinari: Did I say something strange?

Kinari: But, the feelings that were welling up in my heart just now… I really wanted to convey these feelings with the words that I chose.

Kinari: Like the objects that form a kaleidoscope, my Master is always shining.

Kinari: That doesn’t change whether you’re hard at work or laughing on your days off.

Kinari: Always glittering so bright, I can’t look away. I’m not sure why, but I feel excited when I’m by your side.

Kinari: The world is beautiful and full of brilliance. Master is always teaching me this.

Kinari: When I look at this kaleidoscope, I am strongly convinced that what Master has taught me is definitely true… It “touches my heart”.

Kinari: In particular, the color of the third star that appears is similar to the color of Master’s eyes.

MC: I-I got it! I understand your feelings, so it’s alright.

MC: (It’s bad for my heart when he suddenly starts saying this stuff. But…)

Kinari: …

MC: (Kinari-kun looks like he’s really happy right now. … Cute)

MC: Let’s go shopping together again, Kinari-kun.

Kinari: Yes, Master. I’ll go anywhere if it’s with you.
